Our sixth vintage was produced from 98% Cabernet Sauvignon, 1% Cabernet Franc, and 1% Petit Verdot from the Winston Hill Vineyard, in Rutherford, Napa Valley, and was harvested between September 22nd – October 3rd, 2009. The wine was allowed to sit quietly in 100% New French Oak Barrels for 36 months, and has been bottle-aged since then.
The 2009 Promise Cabernet Sauvignon radiates a dark, midnight purple core, with opaque magenta rims. It bursts with warm allspice and cedar, combining nicely with the sweet aromas of freshly baked black berry pie and savory notes of freshly roasted coffee. The palate is massive, and layered with succulent flavors of crème de cassis, chocolate, anis, with hints of coconut and black pepper. This symphony of taste is underscored with rich and silky tannins, which frame this exceptional wine.
